Terms of sale

Distance selling with collection in the shop. Last updated: 2 November 2026.

1. The seller

The sale is concluded with MD Meat SRL, trading as Maison Himi, company and VAT number BE 0600.898.073, registered office and premises at Avenue des Casernes 1, 1040 Etterbeek, reachable on 0484 82 17 39. It is reached by e-mail at contact@maisonhimi.com. It is referred to below as “the butcher”.

2. Purpose

These conditions govern orders placed on maisonhimi.com and in the Maison Himi app, at the customer's choice, either for collection in store or for home delivery in the municipalities served. Placing an order means accepting these conditions.

3. The products

The products are fresh foodstuffs, prepared and cut to order. Two ways of selling exist side by side:

The photographs are indicative. A natural cut varies in appearance, marbling and weight.

4. Prices

Prices are in euros, all taxes included, at the 6 % VAT rate applicable to foodstuffs in Belgium. Collection in store is free. Delivery costs 12.50 € when delivery is chosen; it is free from 200 € of goods, after any discount and excluding the fee itself. The exact amount is shown in the basket before any payment. The butcher may change its prices and its delivery fee at any time, the price that applies being the one shown when the order is placed.

5. Ordering

The customer picks the products, collection in store or delivery, a time, then gives a first name, surname, telephone number and e-mail address, along with a full address if delivery was chosen. This information is needed to prepare and hand over the order. The order is firm once paid. A collection code and a summary are then provided.

The butcher's shop may refuse or cancel an order in the event of a stock shortage, an obvious pricing error or a clearly abnormal order. The customer is then refunded in full, to the payment method used.

6. Collection time

The customer chooses a pickup time from the slots offered when ordering. These slots are set by the butcher, who takes into account the time needed to prepare the cuts and the shop's opening hours. The customer is notified as soon as the order is ready.

7. Delivery

Delivery is offered only in the municipalities shown in the list displayed when the order is placed. A municipality that is not on that list cannot be delivered to. The list is set by the butcher and may change.

Deliveries leave the shop at fixed times, in two rounds per opening day. The customer picks the round when ordering. The time given is when the round leaves, not when it reaches the customer: the order of stops depends on the addresses to be served that day. There are no rounds on closing days.

The customer gives an exact and complete address, along with anything useful for the handover, such as a floor or a name on the intercom. The butcher is not liable for a delivery made impossible by a wrong or incomplete address.

As these are perishable goods, the customer or someone of their choosing must be present at the address given during the chosen round. If nobody is there, the driver tries to reach the customer on the number provided. If the handover is still impossible, the order is brought back to the shop and can be collected there the same day, during opening hours. After that, the goods can neither be kept nor refunded, and the delivery fee remains due. No goods are ever left without being handed over in person.

The products are carried in conditions that keep the cold chain. The customer must put them in the cold as soon as they are received.

Delivery must be paid online, when the order is placed. No payment is accepted at the door.

8. Payment

Payment is made online when the order is placed, by Bancontact, bank card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Click to Pay. The methods offered are those the butcher's shop accepts on the day of the order.

Transactions are processed by Viva.com, a brand of VIVABANK BANKING S.A., a credit institution licensed by the Bank of Greece and entitled to operate in Belgium under the freedom to provide services. The butcher's shop receives, processes and stores no card data whatsoever.

On its payment page, the provider offers to keep the card for later orders. That box is ticked by default there: the customer unticks it before paying if they do not want it. A kept card stays with the provider, the butcher's shop never has access to it, and the customer can have it removed at any time by writing to the shop.

9. Adjustment to the real weight

For cuts sold by weight, the amount paid when ordering is an estimate. The actual weight is established at cutting, in front of the customer or just before collection.

If the actual weight is below the estimate, the difference is refunded automatically to the payment method used, as soon as the butcher's shop records the weighing. The refund appears on the customer's account within their bank's usual delay.

For a delivery, the difference is given back or added on handover, in the driver's hands. The delivery fee never enters this calculation: it remains due, unchanged, whatever the real weight.

If the actual weight is above the estimate, the difference is paid at the counter on collection, in cash or by card. No further amount can be charged without the customer's agreement, and the customer remains free to refuse the overrun and have the cut adjusted.

10. Collection and non-collection

The customer shows their collection code at the counter. If prevented from coming, they are asked to warn the butcher by telephone. As these are perishable goods, an order not collected on the day arranged cannot be kept or refunded, unless the butcher agrees.

11. Right of withdrawal

The fourteen-day right of withdrawal does not apply to these orders. The Belgian Code of Economic Law excludes it in particular for goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly, and for goods made to the consumer's specifications, which is the case of a cut prepared to order.

This exclusion applies whichever option is chosen, collection or delivery.

This exclusion takes nothing away from the customer's rights if a product does not conform.

12. Conformity and complaints

The customer checks their order at the counter. Any complaint about conformity or quality must be made immediately on collection, or without delay by telephone, so that the butcher can see the problem. The legal guarantees of conformity apply.

13. Allergens and storage

Allergen information for prepared dishes and charcuterie is given on the product pages and available at the counter. Fresh meat keeps between 0 and 4 °C and should be eaten quickly. The customer is responsible for maintaining the cold chain after collection.

14. Personal data

How data is handled is described in the privacy policy.

15. Disputes

In case of disagreement, the customer first contacts the butcher. Failing a solution, they may refer the matter free of charge to the Consumer Mediation Service, Boulevard du Roi Albert II 8 box 1, 1000 Brussels, consommateurmediation.be.

Belgian law applies. The tribunals of the judicial district of Brussels have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the rules protecting consumers.
